**Job Summary**

St. Clare Commons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of excellence and compassion in the care we provide to our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement effective infection prevention and control programs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Notify public health authorities of reportable diseases and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
  • Attend committee meetings as assigned and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Manage and develop nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Complete nursing care functions for the facility, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Certification in Gerontology Nursing is preferred.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a floor nurse, with at least one year of experience in geriatric nursing.
  • Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Current certification in CPR is required.
