Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and inspect products at various stages of production to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Record and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Enter data into computer systems and maintain quality control records.
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Maintain retained samples inventory and area.
  • Review and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Specifications, and Product Change Orders (PCOs).
  • Train others in quality control procedures.
  • Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests, inspections on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
  • Issue certificates of analysis/conformance when required.
  • Assist in maintaining sample supply program.
  • Complete special projects and work requests.
  • Document complaint information and customer return reviews.
  • Demonstrate understanding of chemical interactions.
  • Routinely perform 5S activities in the laboratory to ensure efficiently organized and cleaned.
  • Follow QA processes with minimal direction.
  • Work under minimal supervision.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • 2-3 years related experience in science or math
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, metric measurement, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
