At Williamson Health, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. As a Scrub Tech, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment, and delivering exceptional patient care.
About the Role
This position requires a high school graduate with previous scrub tech experience or a graduate of a scrub tech school. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical patient care in a timely and accurate manner. Your attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, and flexibility in applying basic nursing knowledge will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
The Certified Surgical Technologist will be responsible for collaborating with the surgical team to effectively coordinate patient care, anticipating and providing equipment and supplies as needed. You will create and maintain a sterile field, handle medications and solutions safely, and perform counts accurately. Additionally, you will assist with controlling the OR Suite environment, maintaining traffic patterns, and adhering to OR sanitation policies.
What You Will Need
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Surgical Technology diploma or degree from a college or university, or 18 months of experience prior to July 1, 2006. You must also be certified through NBSTSA or equivalent within 6 months of employment. The ability to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge is essential.
