Position Overview:
Energy Systems Group is seeking a qualified Energy Engineer to become a vital member of our Corporate Measurement and Verification Team. This role is primarily remote, with an expectation of regular travel (around 40%) for project-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
The Energy Engineer will be tasked with:
  • Developing energy baselines and conducting verification of energy savings.
  • Preparing annual Measurement and Verification (M&V) reports.
  • Applying energy-saving strategies and performing statistical analyses.
  • Engaging with various sectors including Federal, State, Local Government, Healthcare, K-12, and Higher Education.

Essential Functions:
The successful candidate will:
  • Analyze utility bills and energy consumption patterns to mitigate risks and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Address issues independently or escalate them to senior M&V engineering members as necessary.
  • Manage tools and processes for the timely collection and accurate entry of utility data for M&V portfolios.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understand the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).
  • Support the development of customer baselines or benchmarks as required.
  • Create high-quality performance reports that demonstrate value and analysis of cost reductions in accordance with contract specifications.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Systems data collection and building operations.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and exceptional interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficient analytical and business writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) are advantageous.
