Job Title: Pediatric Mental Health Counselor

Bethesda Health Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents, promoting their emotional well-being and helping them overcome various mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children and adolescents, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral problems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring to ensure effective treatment and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices, research, and evidence-based treatments in pediatric mental health, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
