We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.
About the PositionThis is a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong research program in bacteriology, immunology, or virology, with a focus on infection and cancer, host/pathogen interactions, HIV/AIDS, emerging pathogens, cancer immunology, or autoimmunity.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a strong research program in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
- Contribute to the teaching mission of the department, including undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers to advance the department's research goals.
- Secure external funding to support research and other departmental initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, and a strong track record of research and teaching experience. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
