Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory team at Loyola University Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on these assessments.
- Nurse Triage and Coordination: Perform initial triage to prioritize patient care by evaluating the urgency of their conditions. Determine appropriate next steps for treatment or referral, ensuring timely and effective care.
- Care Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care, ensure effective communication, and manage patient treatments and follow-ups.
- Patient Education and Support: Provide education to patients and their families about managing health conditions, medication administration, and lifestyle changes. Offer emotional support and answer questions to help patients navigate their care.
- Administrative and Documentation Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting care provided, documenting patient interactions, and managing appointment scheduling and other administrative tasks.
- A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
- BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
- Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a cardiology or related clinical setting.
