We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Holiday by Atria - Harrison Regent. As a key member of our Dining Services team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appetizing meals for our residents, while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Review menus and food-production instructions to prepare meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that all food handling procedures are followed, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Team Leadership: In the absence of the Executive Chef, oversee the food service staff and kitchen operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Inventory Management: Accurately complete logs and manage inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet our culinary needs.
- Customer Satisfaction: Focus on resident satisfaction and resolve any food-related issues that may arise.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the culinary industry or full-service restaurant cooking.
- Skills: Effective communication in English, excellent customer service skills, and experience mentoring and directing others.
- Certifications: General knowledge of and ability to conform to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
- Competitive Pay: Starting at $16.25 per hour.
