Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Veterinarian to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with our medical staff to ensure seamless care.

About the Role
  • Provide exceptional patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments in accordance with Petco's SOPs.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on individual patient needs and collaborate with our medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory surgeries, and dental procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and address patient concerns.
Requirements
  • DVM degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current DEA license.
  • USDA Category I accreditation (minimum) or completion within two months of hire date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, with a willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing situations.
Work Environment

This role requires working primarily in our modern veterinary hospital, with occasional interaction with external partners and vendors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $83,700 - $177,700 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive compensation package that reflects our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the industry.
