Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Visionworks. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing various types of electromechanical equipment preventative maintenance and repairs to state-of-the-art eyewear fabrication equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguard all hazards within our facility, utilize approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, and maintain personal compliance to all applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance according to the maintenance system (Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)) schedule.
  • Responsible for diagnostic troubleshooting and repair in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, and pressured air systems.
  • Perform calibrations and repairs to equipment in response to CMMS Web-Request, including major component repairs and minor electrical, electronic circuit board, and component level troubleshooting.
  • Act as a mentor to Maintenance Technicians (Tech I).
  • Provide continuous feedback to enhance Predictive Maintenance.
  • Participate in workshops aligned with facility Focus Five initiatives.
  • Utilize Lock-Out / Tag-Out to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • College degree in a related field and/or Technical School Certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of Three (3) recent years of related work experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings.
  • Must have working knowledge in Electronics.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.
  • General problem-solving abilities.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Must be able to read English to understand written procedures, hazardous warning, etc.
