Job Title: Senior Data/Analytics Engineer SME

LCG, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data/Analytics Engineer SME to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced data and analytics solutions. This role requires a subject matter expert with deep experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, cloud architecture, and full-stack development to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture and development of end-to-end data solutions, ensuring alignment with the client's IT modernization objectives and long-term strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, including the use of AI tools to automate code generation, assist in complex data queries, and create scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance the accessibility and reliability of client services.
  • Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable data pipelines across cloud platforms, integrating complex datasets to support real-time analytics and decision-making.
  • Lead the development of advanced analytics capabilities, applying both traditional and modern techniques such as machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize AI tools to streamline data integration workflows and reduce development time on repetitive tasks, improving efficiency across the team.
  • Oversee the full-stack development process, including back-end data services, front-end user interfaces, and database management, ensuring seamless integration of data across platforms.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions that support data analytics, leveraging cloud-native technologies to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Apply advanced analytics, data visualization, and human-centered design principles to enhance the user experience and deliver solutions aligned with client's mission-critical objectives.
  • Drive innovation by staying informed of emerging data technologies and leveraging AI tools for quick prototyping and suggesting forward-thinking solutions to continuously improve data processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data concepts and strategies.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of data and analytics initiatives with client goals.
  • Lead data engineering projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of data solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Continuously engage in iterative development processes, using AI tools to support task management, sprint planning, and real-time code reviews, while providing feedback based on stakeholder needs and evolving requirements.
  • Ensure that all data solutions meet stringent security and privacy standards in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Develop test plans, conduct rigorous testing, and implement quality assurance processes, using AI tools to automate tests and perform quality checks.
  • Inspire teams to embrace digital transformation and foster an innovative culture within the organization, championing data-driven approaches to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Act as a change leader, guiding the organization through complex digital transformation journeys while managing resistance and ensuring successful adoption of new data technologies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, cloud architecture, and full-stack development, with a focus on delivering data-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including Redshift, S3, Lambda, Glue, and RDS.
  • Advanced knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, Java, and Scala, as well as experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with machine learning models, AI frameworks, and their application in predictive analytics.
  • Agile Methodologies: Extensive experience working in Agile environments and using Agile project management tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Expertise in data analysis, data-driven decision-making, and applying quantitative methods to solve complex problems.
  • Client-Centric Focus: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Innovation & Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams in digital transformation efforts, fostering innovation and driving successful outcomes, with experience using AI-assisted tools like Microsoft Co-Pilot.
