ManTech is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Systems Engineer. In this position, you will evaluate user requirements, operational concepts, and overarching system architectures to create comprehensive system requirements specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate user requirements, operational concepts, and high-level system architectures to formulate system requirements specifications.
  • Assess system requirements and spearhead design and development initiatives.
  • Assist users in articulating requirements, recommend alternative strategies, and conduct feasibility analyses.
  • Provide technical guidance for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, incorporating new plans and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Create technical documentation, including system architecture and design documentation.
  • Facilitate system development and implementation planning through the preparation of system engineering management plans and integration/test plans.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and related challenges.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of all work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering domain.
  • Communicate effectively with program personnel, government officials, and senior management.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Linux and Windows, managing the technical integrity of the system baseline throughout its lifecycle.
  • Analyze and resolve intricate issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
  • Configure and manage Linux & Windows operating systems, troubleshoot, maintain network components, and implement enhancements for reliability and performance.
  • Design, deploy, and manage virtual environments (Docker, OpenShift).
  • Install and configure infrastructure-related software such as DNS, McAfee EPO Servers, CENTRIFY, and LDAP.
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues where documentation may be insufficient.

Experience Levels: This position accommodates multiple levels of experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
  • Proven experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution. An additional four (4) years of experience may substitute for the degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Ansible, Salt, Python, and Trellix (formerly McAfee Enterprise) is preferred.
  • Experience with advanced Linux scripting, Linux servers, CentOS 7 and 8, and Red Hat 8 is beneficial.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
