Advanced Practice Provider

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will primarily focus on inpatient care and surgical assistance, with limited responsibilities in outpatient settings.
Work ScheduleThe role entails a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (7 AM to 7 PM) along with one weekend per month, which includes rounding, surgical coverage as necessary, and home call duties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rounds and manage consults, providing care to service patients.
- Assist in the operating room, taking on first and second assisting roles during surgical procedures.
- Focus on acute post-operative care following surgical interventions, including ICU management and addressing complex medical issues related to liver and pancreas conditions.
- Understand the progression of post-operative recovery and identify critical anomalies that may affect patient health.
- Manage surgical wounds effectively, including tasks such as staple/suture removal, negative pressure wound therapy, and proper dressing changes.
- Possess knowledge or a keen interest in imaging and laboratory assessments to ensure appropriate inpatient care for common liver and pancreas pathologies, including pancreatic cancer and cirrhosis.

Required:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Ohio (PA-C).
- Certificate of Authority to practice is mandatory.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to achieving high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
