We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Therapist to join our team at the Horsham Center for Jewish Life. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a creative and dynamic recreation program that meets the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Plan, develop, and implement quality activity programs that cater to the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of our patients.
- Patient Engagement: Engage patients in various activities, including entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and education, to promote their overall well-being.
- Charting and Documentation: Accurately chart patient progress and behavior, and maintain detailed records of patient interactions and activity participation.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Education and Experience: Must have at least one year of recreation experience in a Personal Care Unit, preferably within the last five years.
- Geriatric Experience: Prior experience working with geriatric patients is highly preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including late afternoons and weekends, is required.
- Arts and Crafts: Demonstrated proficiency in arts, crafts, and music is preferred.
- Decision-Making: Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Knowledge and Skills: Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in Personal Care Facilities.
