Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammography procedures in accordance with ACR and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mammography equipment and technology
- Provide exceptional patient care and communication
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mammography
- Minimum 2-3 years of mammography experience, preferably in a lead role
- ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications
- Massachusetts Radiation Control License in Radiologic Technology and Mammography
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with 3D breast tomosynthesis mammography equipment
- Experience with Meditech and PACS
- Previous experience with Cerner a plus
This role requires the ability to:
- Use hands to control objects, tools, or controls
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
- Repeat the same movements
- Be on feet for long periods of time
- Bend or twist body
This role also requires the ability to:
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls
- Use fingers or hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
- Move two or more limbs together while remaining in place
This role also requires the ability to:
- Speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Understand the speech of another person
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired
This role also requires the ability to:
- Effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas
This role also requires the ability to:
- Perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation
