We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pediatric ER Travel Nurse to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a Pediatric ER Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Summary

This is a 13-week contract position with a 36-hour workweek, requiring every other weekend and holidays as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric emergency nursing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric ER setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced ER environment
  • Assess and manage patients with a range of pediatric emergencies, including trauma, respiratory distress, and cardiac issues
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in pediatric ER nursing
  • Float within the department to support staffing needs in the ED, Adult, Peds, and IMC areas
Requirements
  • NJ/Compact license
  • 2 years of PEDS experience
  • 2+ years of recent Pediatric ED experience
  • 1.5 years of nursing experience working in a pediatric ED environment
  • Must have ED experience within the past 6 months
  • ASN
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA PALS
  • NIHSS
  • Demonstrated level of performance and practice is required
  • BSN preferred
  • AHA NRP preferred
  • ENPC preferred
