Job Description

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for capturing high-quality X-ray images following CityMD X-ray protocol in an efficient and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing X-ray studies in a reasonable amount of time
  • Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of the encounter into the EMR
  • Using internal X-ray and care coordination software to properly document and communicate X-ray studies performed
  • Facilitating diagnostic tests and referrals to medical specialists
  • Assisting physicians with medical procedures within the Scribe scope of practice
  • Communicating with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone
  • Assisting with CLIA waived tests and EKGs
  • Keeping track of materials needed to copy images to a CD
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date QA log book
  • Providing compassionate care to patients

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program
  • 4-6 months experience as a X-ray Technologist
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Functional and practical knowledge of various computer systems
  • Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire

Physical Requirements:

The job may require lifting light to moderate amounts of weight and heavy computer use.

Pay Range:

$ /hr +$5,000 sign on bonus

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
