Position Overview:
At SSM Health, we believe in the transformative power of compassionate care. We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist - Outpatient to enhance our healthcare team.

Role Summary:
The Physical Therapist will assess and implement medically prescribed therapy programs aimed at alleviating movement dysfunction and pain caused by various health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions.
2. Develop, modify, and assess individualized care plans that engage patients and their families.
3. Utilize standard physical therapy techniques to deliver effective treatment interventions.
4. Educate patients, families, and staff on therapeutic practices and needs.
5. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care, providing home instructions and recommending necessary follow-up services.
6. Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants and students.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and therapy outcomes as required by regulatory standards.
8. Uphold a safe and alert working environment.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or a related field as mandated for licensure.
  • No prior experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, lifting, and carrying of light objects (0-25 lbs), as well as the ability to perform various physical movements including walking, reaching, and bending.

Licensure:
Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license as per state regulations.
