About the Role

McFarland Clinic is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join its team in Ames. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and analyze ultrasound images to assist radiologists in diagnosing medical conditions.
  • Provide direct patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all patients.
  • Assist with departmental duties, including equipment maintenance, supply management, and data entry.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and primary care physicians to clarify exam orders and ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Utilize Epic and Merge computer programs to initiate patient studies and transmit images to radiologists.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited course in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or certification within 9 months of hire date.
  • RVT (Registered vascular sonographer) certification is preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification.
