About the Role

The Overnight Facilities and Package Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our oil refining and packaging facility. This position is responsible for preserving assets, reducing maintenance needs, and improving overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Environmental Performance
    • Lead by example in promoting a safe work environment.
    • Ensure full compliance with safety rules and regulations.
    • Support 0 accidents and encourage reporting and correction of near misses.
    • Identify high-risk safety/productivity issues and implement remedies.
    • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Work Requirements
    • Work the hours of 11pm - 7am.
    • Participate in project development and meetings.
    • Substitute for the Maintenance Manager in their absence at meetings.
    • Specify new technologies and run trials to prove effectiveness.
    • Assist in planning and directing strategic improvements to keep plant process controls up to date.
    • Work closely with vendors to specify, select, and supervise inventory levels and organization.
    • Responsible for scheduling maintenance personnel.
    • Responsible for assigning maintenance work.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, wiring, and field devices.
    • Program PLC logic for process changes and improvements.
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot single and three-phase industrial motors, VFDs, electrical distribution, and protection circuits up to 480VAC.
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor systems.
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot steam and condensate systems.
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot pumps and piping systems.
    • Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, ladder logic, and electrical schematics.
    • Maintain facilities, including lighting, windows, doors, roofs, etc.
    • Execute work in a safe and expedient manner according to the following priorities:
      • Emergency corrective maintenance daily and call-ins.
      • Execution of capital and maintenance projects.
      • Perform and develop preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
      • Perform routine corrective maintenance.
  • Cost Control
    • Contribute to controlling costs and minimizing downtime, scrap, poor quality, accidents, utility usage, and reduced productivity.
    • Use predictive maintenance techniques to plan and budget major repairs.
    • Minimize carrying costs by analyzing spare parts prior to purchase.
    • Work with purchasing to find the lowest cost on comparable equipment and supplies.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, and certifications in welding, electrical, and refrigeration are preferred. Additionally, general knowledge of automation, PLCs, ladder logic, packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and heating and air-conditioning is desired.
