About the Role:

As a staff software engineer, you will work across the entire platform, helping the team design and implement scalable, high-performance infrastructure.

You will work with amazing and talented people who work on highly creative and ambitious efforts.

You will work closely with other software engineers, machine learning experts, domain experts, and product managers to plan, coordinate, and integrate your work.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, guide, and implement robust, end-to-end production-level software to make complex data accessible through enterprise-class applications.
  • Help drive planning, prioritization, technical direction setting, and project execution for the team.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, domain experts, and PMs.
  • Interface with external partners to refine technical requirements and rapidly develop prototypes to evaluate feasibility.

What You Should Have:

  • 8+ years of experience building large, complex software systems and applications, including at least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and modeling, designing backend services, and building enterprise/consumer applications.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java/Kotlin/GoLang, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, Pub/Sub, monitoring.
  • Ability to work in small teams/rapid prototyping environments and mentor other team members on software design techniques and implementation.

What We Offer:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $188,000 - $250,000 + bonuses + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
