Job Summary

FLANDERS ELECTRIC MOTOR SERVICE LLC is seeking a highly skilled Field Electrical Engineer to provide technical services for routine and moderately complex maintenance and/or repair of control systems and their components at customer sites or in FLANDERS locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical field engineering services for customers, including diagnosis and troubleshooting of control systems and their components.
  • Offer after-hours support in person and/or over the phone to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Complete necessary service, time tracking, and expense documentation to maintain accurate records.
  • Direct or provide on-the-job training as needed to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare or supervise quotations for assigned projects to ensure accurate pricing and timelines.
  • Schedule and prioritize work for assigned projects to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with shop managers, supervisors, and office personnel to coordinate work and ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required work efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
  • Relevant manufacturer product training to ensure expertise in control systems and their components.
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a related field in mining, metal, mills, and/or heavy industry, with a focus on PLC and Drive experience.
