Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Surgeon to join our team at Bridgeport Hospital, an ACS-verified Level II trauma center. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice acute care surgery, trauma, and elective general surgery, with on-call burn surgery coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the acute care surgery setting
  • Participate in trauma and burn surgery coverage, including inpatient and outpatient care
  • Collaborate with a team of surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including research and trainee education
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
  • Board certification or eligibility in Surgical Critical Care (preferred)
  • Added training in burn surgery (preferred)
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
