The Telemetry Technician plays a vital role in monitoring cardiac rhythms and identifying changes in patient conditions. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, this individual integrates all aspects of patient care and individualizes the plan to address specific patient needs.
Responsibilities:
\u2022 Knowledgeable of patient assignments and bed locations
\u2022 Assures awareness of ethical standards of practice
\u2022 Maintains a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience
\u2022 Assures safety in practice
\u2022 Reports identified safety issues and knowledge of patient population served
\u2022 Communicates effectively and collaborates with nurses and other patient care providers
Requirements:
\u2022 High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
\u2022 Satisfactory completion of Strip exam and completion of Hospital Orientation
\u2022 Ability to Read, write, speak and comprehend English
\u2022 Completion of a Certified Telemetry Monitor Course
\u2022 BLS through the American Heart Association
