About the RoleCirtec Medical is seeking a highly skilled SMT Engineer to lead daily SMT manufacturing operations, including process and procedure improvement activities. As an SMT Engineer, you will be responsible for the set-up of all pieces of equipment on the SMT line, including the screen printer, the pick and place machines, and the reflow oven.
Key Responsibilities- Selection of SMT/SMD equipment and optimization of equipment set up and programming sequences.
- Operation of SMT equipment in support of production and process development.
- Design of optimum production processes, including solder paste selection, reflow profiles, stencil designs, component feeder set up methodology, and selective soldering techniques.
- Process and capacity utilization strategies for SMT assembly operations.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and minimum 4 years of appropriate work experience, or Associates degree in engineering discipline and a minimum of 6 years of appropriate work experience, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge with surface mount and through-hole technologies.
- Familiarity with IPC/EIA J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
- Working knowledge of all SMT assembly and inspection processes.
- Working knowledge of printed circuit board CAD data and assembly equipment programming software, and databases.
