Role Summary:
As a Hose Assembly Specialist at Belt Power, LLC, you will engage in multiple tasks to tailor heavy-duty belts and rubber components according to customer specifications, whether in our facility or at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies.
- Identify thread connections and end fittings accurately.
- Receive and confirm incoming parts, materials, and supplies; manage stock areas and adhere to sales orders.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Transport orders, stock, and supplies as needed.
- Execute fabrication tasks, check tolerances, and conduct pressure tests on hose assemblies.
- Work safely and responsibly, ensuring the safety of all involved. Use tools and equipment with care.
- Identify and report defective equipment, materials, or any unusual conditions.
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Represent Belt Power professionally at all times.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in field service, maintenance, or similar hands-on roles.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Solid mechanical background with the ability to interpret blueprints.
- Capability to measure accurately using tape measures or calipers.
- Basic math and computer skills are essential.
- Mechanical aptitude is required.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Desire and ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
- Experience in maintenance or as a belt technician is preferred.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily based in a fabrication shop environment, characterized by moderate noise levels. The workspace is generally well-ventilated and well-lit, with employees required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy machinery and adherence to strict safety protocols are mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
The Hose Assembly Specialist may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to operate equipment controls, tools, and other items for adjustments and minor maintenance. This role may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods.
Position Type and Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role within a shop setting. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend shifts.
