We're seeking a highly-motivated Platform Architect to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge Head Mounted Display (HMD) technology. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in software development and leadership on Windows and Android platforms, with a strong track-record of successfully shipping consumer electronics products and/or PC applications.

Responsibilities will include designing and developing relevant technologies, platforms, and SDKs on desktop operating systems and embedded processors, as well as providing technical leadership to a team of software developers and/or contractors. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SOC architectures, bus interfaces, peripherals, and PMIC architecture and interfaces, as well as experience with VR, AR, computer vision, and SLAM.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop relevant technologies, platforms, and SDKs on desktop operating systems and embedded processors
Provide technical leadership to a team of software developers and/or contractors
Participate and contribute to project reviews and system requirements gathering
Work at the boundary between hardware and software to specify system hardware and improve system-level energy efficiency, performance, power management, and battery life
Track industry trends and evaluate key supplier roadmaps

Qualifications:
MS degree in EE or CS or equivalent
10+ years of experience in software development and leadership on Windows and Android platforms
Ability to solve complex engineering problems through math, simulation, and machine learning
Proven track record of successfully shipping consumer electronics products and/or PC applications
Expert in C/C++
Availability for domestic and international travel to development sites and customer locations
