Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze income statements while participating in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Oversee financial transactions and documentation, enhancing accounting operations.
  • Establish an internal control framework to minimize losses and protect company assets.
  • Coordinate tax preparation with external CPA firms and manage insurance renewals.
  • Implement processes related to sales tax compliance.

  • Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Revise and update accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support various accounting functions as needed, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Assist with Human Resources and payroll tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on identifying solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Strong accounting expertise with meticulous attention to detail (CPA designation preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in project accounting.
  • Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and regulatory reports.
  • Proficient in financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience with Deltek's Vantage Point Software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of tax and insurance regulations.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Supervisory Role:

No supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type:

Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)

Travel Requirements:

Up to 10% travel may be required.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 to 10 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Previous experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry is advantageous.
