Job Overview

Bismarck State College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor to join our Continuing Education team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, supervising clinical experiences, and providing training to students in a hands-on learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction: Teach evening CNA classes, ensuring that all course material is covered thoroughly and effectively. Classes may occur 12-20 hours per month.
  • Clinical Supervision: Oversee and guide students during clinical experiences, providing hands-on instruction and support to ensure practical skills are developed and applied correctly.
  • Saturday Sessions: Facilitate additional training sessions on select Saturdays, approximately 8 hours per month, to supplement and reinforce classroom learning.
  • Student Support: Offer guidance and mentorship to students, addressing questions and concerns while fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Curriculum Adherence: Follow the established curriculum and maintain up-to-date knowledge of CNA practices and standards to ensure compliance with educational requirements.
Requirements
  • Licensed registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse.
  • One year of Long-Term Care experience.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Flexible schedule for potential day classes.
