Position Overview

The University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of Architecture and Urban Design invites applications for a pool of candidates to teach courses in all areas of the department. Members of the pool would be called upon to teach lower division, upper division, or graduate students during the academic years, as needed. The appointment is expected to begin either Fall 2024, Winter 2025, or Spring 2025.

UCLA AUD is well-recognized for its excellence in design, scholarship, and research. Degree programs in the department include a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (B.A.), a professional Master of Architecture (M.Arch.I), a post-professional Master of Architecture (M.Arch.II) in advanced architectural design and research, and a Master of Arts/Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture (M.A./Ph.D.).

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is represented by the University Council - American Federation of Teachers.

Qualifications

A Master of Architecture degree or equivalent degree is a requirement, extensive professional experience, and three years' university-level teaching experience are preferred.
