The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in acquiring both medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services essential for the efficient operation of our healthcare facilities. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities including inventory oversight, vendor management, invoice reconciliation, and contract evaluations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement: Initiates, tracks, and ensures the timely delivery of purchased goods and services.
  • Inventory Oversight: Monitors and maintains designated inventory levels in alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Receiving Coordination: Serves as a communication link between various departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Accounts Payable: Ensures accuracy and efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
  • Vendor Sourcing: Identifies and evaluates potential suppliers, negotiates pricing, and secures favorable terms.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience; 2 years of relevant healthcare purchasing experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday ERP systems is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks involving computer and phone use, as well as standing, walking, and occasional lifting of light loads.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $28.85 to $38.46.
