At GTT, LLC, we are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis services.
Responsibilities:- Welcome patients and conduct thorough assessments to determine their needs and preferences.
- Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation as needed.
- Administer heparin and other medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and weight, and perform vascular access evaluations pre-treatment.
- Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and monitor patients' response to therapy.
- Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
- Discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures and evaluate patients prior to termination of venous access.
- Obtain hemostasis and apply appropriate dressings.
- Evaluate patients prior to discharge.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) are required.
- Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards.
- 1 year of Dialysis Patient Care Technician experience in the last 2 years is required.
