About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Animal Care Attendant to join our team at Happy Dogs Play and Stay. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, happiness, and well-being of our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet.
  2. Sanitizes and disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  3. Provides clean bedding and fresh water to each pet guest, ensuring their comfort and happiness.
  4. Makes sure each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food for each meal, taking care of their dietary needs.
  5. Ensures pets have clean water at all times, monitoring their consumption and elimination.
  6. Monitors pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day, taking prompt action if needed.
  7. Cleans pet enclosures, food preparation areas, and other areas as needed, maintaining a spotless environment.
  8. Performs daily laundry of pet bedding and towels, keeping them clean and fresh.

Requirements:

  1. Expertise and Experience:
  • Must be a pet enthusiast and have a passion for animal care.
  • Professional animal care or kennel experience is preferred.
  • Displays a professional manner at all times, ensuring excellent customer service.
Physical:
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must frequently lift 40 pounds and be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to handle dogs on leashes and work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.

What We Offer:
