We are seeking an exceptional Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. This is a full-time opportunity to work as a licensed professional provider in collaboration with an attending physician.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Job Responsibilities- Clinical Care: As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the disease process. You will work in collaboration with the attending supervising/collaborating physician(s) to provide optimal patient care from diagnostic to prognostic matters.
- Patient Education & Psychosocial Support: You will educate patients/families on care and recommended or available resources, including admitting instructions, treatment plan, actual and potential side effects of treatments/medications, and discharge plan.
- Information Management: You will ensure appropriate documentation within the accordance of hospital and regulatory requirements and protect information of all forms from unauthorized access modification, destruction, or intentional or accidental disclosure.
- Quality Management: You will demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care, ensuring compliance with patient-related healthcare regulatory requirements, standards, and recommendations.
- Professional Development: You will continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance your professional competency, serving as a clinical resource for new house staff and providing service-specific orientation pertinent to clinical education.
To be eligible for this position, you must graduate from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program and possess current competence to practice as a nurse practitioner via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners.
You must also have active certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certified, when indicated for position profile DEA License, when indicated for pediatric position profile PALS, when indicated for neonatal care NRP Certification.
