About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Nursing in Training to join our team at Skies Healthcare and Rehab Center in Albuquerque, NM. As a Director of Nursing in Training, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality patient care and will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills through our intensive orientation and training program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of Genesis policies and protocols that impact patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate patient care outcomes by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Engage in the budgetary process, payroll analysis, reimbursement issues, and staffing ratios to gain a deeper understanding of the budgetary process.
  • Obtain a thorough knowledge of state and federal regulatory processes, quality indicators, quality measures, certification agencies, and the relationship between the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Medicare, Medicaid, PPS, and RUGS.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the characteristics of each payer source and the implications of each on the care delivery process.
  • Establish and facilitate employee relations by working through employee challenges and participating in nursing center retention teams and related programs.
  • Educate various levels of staff to provide care and services that meet or exceed patient expectations.
