Rehabilitation Assistant

As a Rehabilitation Aide at VibrantCare Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in supporting our Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with rehabilitation procedures, organizing and scheduling ancillary services, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Follow established policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Manage patient scheduling and coordinate appointments to meet service standards
- Order clinical and office supplies, prepare and mail invoices, and open mail
- Accurately complete reports and projects on time to meet deadlines and service standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and other stakeholders
- Collect co-payments and patient deductibles, batch and reconcile payments
- Participate in daily productivity and performance reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Establish and maintain patient files, waiting areas, and other administrative tasks
- Understand and uphold the Service Culture Theme and Standards
- Prepare patient charts, maintain accurate records, and explain insurance benefits
- Carry out activities delegated by supervisors, adhering to State Practice Act guidelines
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment, follow OSHA guidelines, and participate in safety inspections
- Observe and report abnormal patient conditions, reactions, and responses to treatment
- Participate in clinical in-services, disaster drills, and other training opportunities
- Perform housekeeping duties, including dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and vacuuming
- Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by Center Manager, Market Manager, or other supervisors
- Effective customer service skills, both oral and written
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational, time management, and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, including accurate data entry
- Lift patients using biomechanical techniques, capable of lifting 50 pounds dead weight alone
- Walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday
- Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
- Push wheeled equipment through the facility
- Fine motor skills for clear and accurate writing, charting, and presentations
- Fine motor skills for handling diagnostic or therapeutic equipment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current CPR certification
- Some coursework or practical experience in a healthcare-related field and basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
