Key Responsibilities:
Conduct precise transaction management and oversight in the domains of collateral, settlement, and securities lending, adhering to established OCC regulations, policies, and procedures. Engage with clearing members, financial institutions, and exchanges on a daily basis to enhance the efficiency of collateral processing, settlement, and securities lending operations. Execute audits pertaining to departmental activities and assist management in addressing requests from both internal and external audit bodies. Contribute to the drafting and evaluation of OCC policies and procedures. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members within Collateral Services.
Essential Duties:
To excel in this role, the individual must effectively manage the following duties:
- Accurately oversee and process collateral, settlement, and securities lending transactions utilizing OCC's proprietary systems (such as Encore), along with various external banking systems and other depository platforms.
- Evaluate collateral, settlement, and securities lending data through internal and external systems; present findings in a professional and informative manner to management and external stakeholders.
- Engage daily with both internal and external participants (including co-workers, departments, clearing members, banks, and exchanges) by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Review relevant regulations, agreements, policies, and procedures, and conduct scheduled audits to ensure the integrity of collateral management.
- Assist in the formulation and upkeep of OCC policies, Collateral Services procedures, and training materials by drafting, updating, and reviewing documentation.
- Comply with OCC's established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support various ad-hoc and corporate initiatives as directed by management.
