We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilization and Instrument Processing Specialist to join our team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and processing of medical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities- Verify and process medical instruments and equipment for sterilization and reuse.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of instrument processing and sterilization.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and efficient processing of instruments and equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Must be certified in sterilization and instrument processing.
- At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and instruments.
Evenings, 3pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday. No call required.
Benefits- 13 weeks contract.
- Must be certified.
- At least 3 years experience.
- Evenings 3p-1130p Mon-Fri.
- No call.
