Job Overview

Position Summary:

Bear Country, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the optimal condition of our facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining the park and resort's standards and involves a variety of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Maintenance Manager in developing and executing maintenance protocols.
  • Oversee the implementation of maintenance procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and rectify issues.
  • Assess electrical and hydraulic systems to guarantee operational efficiency.
  • Perform a range of maintenance activities, including groundskeeping, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in managing the Limble workload management system for efficient task delegation.
  • Monitor and motivate maintenance staff and grounds crew to maintain high morale and productivity.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and inform the Maintenance Manager of any required parts.
  • Track expenses and assist in budget management for the maintenance department.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external contractors and service providers.
  • Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within maintenance operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with facility machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or degree in facility management is advantageous.
  • Certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC are preferred.

This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and using ladders safely. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
