About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Specialist to join our team at L3 Technologies. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will play a vital role in managing end-to-end subcontracts and ensuring successful supplier relationships.

Job Description

The Senior Subcontracts Specialist is responsible for the entire lifecycle of subcontracts, from solicitations to execution. This includes fact-finding, sourcing, documentation, negotiations, cost/price analysis, terms and conditions negotiations, and subcontract management. You will be the main point of contact between suppliers and program teams, providing contractual direction and maintaining external supplier relations.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to build partnerships and drive business growth. Your ability to identify risk and develop mitigation strategies will be essential in ensuring the success of our subcontracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and procuring high-quality goods and services from reliable suppliers
  • Developing and implementing effective subcontract management strategies
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring fair prices and favorable conditions
  • Managing multiple purchase orders, tracking costs, schedules, quality, and technical requirements
  • Reporting on subcontract performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Providing expert advice on contract law and regulations to internal stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing major subcontracts in support of government programs
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARs and other relevant contracting regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
Estimated Salary

This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
