Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Emergency Medicine Telehealth to join our team. As a Telehealth Nursing Specialist, you will provide professional nursing care and support to patients via telephone/video camera, utilizing critical thinking and communication skills to assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients, recognizing and responding to significant changes in patient conditions.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans, identifying patient health-related problems and risk states, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop a plan of care.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care and make necessary modifications to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Establish evidence-based and safe nursing interventions and priorities when providing care.
  • Communicate patient status through verbal, electronic, and written means with other healthcare providers, and take appropriate action for patient well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, patient's significant others, and members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify and offer solutions to patient care delivery issues through quality improvement, continuing education, research, and peer review activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required; Baccalaureate in nursing strongly preferred.
  • Critical Care Nursing experience required; 2-5 years critical care nursing preferred.
  • Previous computer experience required.
  • Proven organizational and multi-tasking abilities, along with strong customer service skills that include excellent phone and video etiquette.
  • Knowledge and skills sufficient to integrate the use of healthcare technology and/or information management systems into the provision of nursing care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree (ADN) and Diploma (DIP) prepared nurses must commit to completing their BSN.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS) required for Tele-Emergency only.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required for Tele-Emergency only.
