About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with various mental health and developmental issues, and aid in qualifying students for additional support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' needs and develop individualized plans to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Provide on-site psychological services to students, including counseling, assessment, and intervention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' mental health and academic success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other educational planning processes to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on topics related to student mental health and academic success.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of best practices in school psychology and ability to apply them in a real-world setting.
