This position is highly sought after within the healthcare community and is tailored for candidates with a background in orthopedic surgery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Orthopedic trauma surgeon, deliver comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patients in the Ortho-Trauma specialty.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments through history-taking, observation, and clinical examination.
  • Initiate, execute, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Administer direct treatment and manage health conditions, utilizing prescriptive authority or referrals to other healthcare professionals or community resources.
  • When applicable: Execute preventive health evaluations, screenings, immunizations, and care. This role necessitates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal oversight.
  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment and respond effectively to various clinical situations.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding preventive health measures, treatment alternatives, and available community resources.


Procedural Skills:

  • Experience in Ortho-Trauma is advantageous.
  • General Trauma experience is required.
  • Skills in reductions/splinting are highly preferred, with training available.
  • First-assist experience is beneficial.

Work Schedule: This role demands a flexible provider who is responsive to the evolving needs of the department and is willing to accommodate various rotating schedules.
