Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and inspecting components, resolving assembly problems, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble sides and decking flat beds
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed component
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Start up and stop equipment
  • Feed or place items onto equipment for processing
  • Assist with production line in factories
  • Sweep, mop, and remove debris
  • Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies
  • Feed or place items onto equipment for processing
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly environment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
  • Ability to use complex tools (drills, sanders, torque wrench)
  • Ability to make complex measurements
  • Ability to train others in performance of GL duties if requested
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to read a measuring tape
  • Provides quality service by following organization standards
  • Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
  • Use basic hand tools such as screwdriver, pliers, etc.
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety rules
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
