Telecommunications Laborer

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the state of Indiana, with initial training in West Virginia. As a Laborer/Flagger, you will be responsible for performing manual labor tasks, including flagging, shovel/broom work, hand digging, and job site clean-up. You will also assist in trenching work, concrete work, building fences, and mini-excavator work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing manual labor tasks, such as flagging and shovel/broom work
• Assisting in trenching work, concrete work, and mini-excavator work
• Reading underground utility locates and ensuring safe digging practices
• Assisting in installing telecommunication fixtures and handling cables and conduits

Requirements:

• At least one year of related construction/telecommunications experience
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protection practices and procedures
• Electrical experience is an asset
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-access drug and alcohol screenings
• Must possess and maintain a clean driver's abstract and valid full-driver's license

Work Conditions:

Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions.

Able to travel to West Virginia for training and then transfer to future work in Indiana.
