Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Certified Welder to join our team at Federal Signal Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our products through precise welding techniques and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull orders, review blueprints, and verify materials to ensure accurate completion of welding tasks.
  • Set up necessary fixtures and tack as required to complete the welding process.
  • Regulate welding equipment current and voltage to achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain proper weld penetration, quality fit, and overall dimensions of parts.
  • Perform quality inspections on 100% of work product using measuring tools to ensure defined tolerances.
  • Identify parts produced by stamping with individual employee numbers.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area in compliance with 5S initiatives.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Input and scan work order data into MRP/JDE system using RF scanner, keyboard, and mouse.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required with at least 6-12 months related work experience.
  • Formal welding education or equivalent experience necessary and ability to pass internal certification process.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
