Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lot Attendant to join our team at McDonald Automotive. As a key member of our dealership, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and performance of our vehicle inventory, ensuring a clean and professional lot environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and move vehicles on the dealer lots, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Valet new delivery vehicles to Vail, Aspen, and Colorado Springs, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Complete dealer trades to area dealers, adhering to dealership standards and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interiors and exteriors, replenishing fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
  • Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and following dealership display standards.
  • Drive vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lots as needed.
  • Make key tags for and handle inventory of vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient management.
  • Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Fills up vehicles with gas when needed, maintaining a clean and well-maintained fleet.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales and/or detail shop preferred.

  • Professional attitude and ability to deliver best-in-class customer service.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work every day.
  • Valid state driver's license to drive any customer or company vehicle.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
Work Environment

The work environment is a typical Auto Body Shop environment, with significant distractions and interruptions. The employee must complete their work satisfactorily in this environment, which may include staff, clients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephone ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as working in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to inclement weather, loud noise, and hazardous materials.
