Thermal Design Specialist Opportunity: Apptronik is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to join our team as a Thermal Design Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating thermal designs that ensure the optimal performance of our robots. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate thermal systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop thermal management solutions for custom electronics, actuators, and integrated robot chassis.
  • Collaborate with engineers to create system thermal models and guide system architecture.
  • Pursue performance/robustness improvements to achieve maximum thermal performance within constraints.
  • Lead and execute thermal system DVP&R, perform Design of Experiments at each phase of the project to inform the system design.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of thermal fluid systems and heat transfer.
  • Experience with 0-D and 1-D thermal/fluid networks.
  • Proficiency in CFD analysis with 5 years or more of IcePak experience.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $115,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
