Job Title: Nurse Substitute

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Substitute to provide health services to students on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong nursing background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct care to students utilizing professional assessment skills and established school health protocols.
  2. Serve as a health advocate for students, promoting their well-being and safety.
  3. Notify parents or emergency contacts in case of accidents or illnesses, and secure medical care for students when necessary.
  4. Coordinate the administration of medications to students at school, adhering to district policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
  • Valid license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Preferred qualifications include CPR certification and one year of nursing experience, preferably in community health.
Work Environment:

The Nurse Substitute will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with school staff and administrators to ensure the health and well-being of students.

Compensation:

The daily rate for this position is $100.
