Job Overview

Position Summary

The Construction Superintendent oversees the daily operations of construction projects, ensuring that high standards of service are maintained in interactions with clients, subcontractors, and team members involved in construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address and finalize punch list items
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with clients
  • Obtain signed Certificates of Completion and Satisfaction from clients
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings with clients
  • Provide daily project updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Organize schedules for subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Ensure compliance of all work with plans, specifications, local regulations, and project scope
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all project activities
  • Implement change orders as necessary
  • Set clear expectations for each project
  • Uphold quality standards through regular site inspections
  • Evaluate and rate all vendors and subcontractors
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities
  • Confirm that material suppliers deliver as per orders
  • Ensure subcontractors fulfill their contractual obligations
  • Monitor project schedules and progress
  • Identify any work outside the contracted scope
  • Be knowledgeable of all roles and responsibilities of the Construction Coordinator

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven track record in customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic mathematical abilities
  • Relevant experience in restoration and/or construction

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Frequent driving and sitting
  • Occasional ladder climbing
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Noise levels at job sites may be high

Work Schedule and Travel Requirements

This position is full-time, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, totaling 45 hours per week. Extended hours beyond the standard workday, on-call duties, and weekend work may be required. Travel is primarily local to various job sites, with potential for some out-of-area and overnight travel.
